Part of the plan!

Yup, so I haven't been auditioning lately.  That might sound strange coming from someone who is serious about her acting career.  But it's true.  I have a very good reason. I'm about to make a big move, and I needed to get everything in order, financially.  So I've been working like crazy so I can make this move and not have to worry about my finances.  I realize that when you have a dream, and you actually start working towards that dream, you're going to have to do some things that may seem like you're taking 5 steps backwards.  As those feelings started to rise up, I looked at the bigger picture and it all made it worth it.  I am really anxious to get back out there auditioning and performing. I live, eat, breathe performing. But to make it to the level that I know I can get to, I'm going to have to make some sacrifices. And trust me, as an artist, working a "normal" job is a sacrifice, lol.  Even though I'm not out there auditioning, I'm still being productive. There's always something to do. And it's necessary to do these things to keep myself focused, motivated and on top of my game.  So whatever it is that needs to be done to reach my goals, I will do.  Out of all the people I admire in the business, they all have one thing in common: Sacrifice.  They all sacrificed to get to where they are and I'm no different.  I don't believe in shortcuts.  I feel like I'm cheating myself when I try to avoid taking the longer, harder road. Because I know that on that road I will encounter things that will make me stronger, a better actress, and an all around better person. So whatever the goal is, a plan is always necessary.  And don't get discouraged if your plan takes you on a detour.  It will always lead you to your destination.  As always, loving God, life and every opportunity.
