Casting Director Tiandra Gayle seeks actors for the upcoming DPOH Entertainment
theater production, Love's Gonna Get Ya! By James and Michele Woodson.
Director: Dwight Ali Williams. Producer: Shawn Luckey. Auditions are scheduled for
June 6, 2010. Production slated for July 28 – August 1, 2010. There is Potential Pay.

Jasmine Patterson: (African-American Mid 20’s) Recent college graduate. Sweet,
caring. Had relationship failures in the past.

Monique Dawson: (Any Ethnicity Mid 20’s to 30’s) Jasmine’s best friend. Married.
Down-to-earth, honest character. Acts as Jasmine’s confidante.

Jessie Long: (African-American Mid 20’s) Very flirtatious. Tries to fill a void in her life
by dating various men.

Nikki Pearson: (Any Ethnicity Mid 20’s to 30’s Young professional. Grad student.
Very picky when it comes to men. Looking for the PERFECT guy, but judge’s men
based on superficial standards.

Nate Crawford: (African-American Mid 20’s to 30’s) Young professional and current
grad student who is very ambitious and career-oriented. He’s a strong Christian, but
is so busy working to achieve his career goals that he fails to really enjoy life.

Joe Robinson: (Any Ethnicity Mid 20’s to 30’s) Nate’s best friend. Still trying to find
his place in the world.

Pablo Washington: (African-American Mid 20’s) The ultimate womanizer and player.
Has been damaged by love in the past. Determined not to get hurt again.

Pete Washington: (African-American Mid 20’s to 30’s) Pablo’s older brother. Very
competitive. Competes over everything. Has lost everything. Living with mother.

Mom: (African-American Late 40’s to Mid 50’s) Pablo and Pete’s mother. Strong
Christian. Voice of reason.

Angela Brown: (Any Ethnicity Mid 20’s to 30’s) Joe’s girlfriend. Waitress, singer. Very
sweet. Just wants to sing for the Lord. Very bright. Took a job as a waitress to free
herself up to pursue her singing career.
Must Sing Well!
